Robert Carl "Rob" Steinbacher, 54, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Rob was the son of Lary and Carolyn (Porter) Steinbacher. Rob graduated from Wayne High School. He worked as a parts salesman for Selking International for the past 17 years. Rob was a sports fan. He was an avid fan of Notre Dame Football, Raiders Football, and North Carolina Basketball. Rob had a passion for music. That extended into him being able to play piano by ear and he could even tell you by just hearing a few notes when that song was aired. Rob loved his family, and his personality will forever be missed. Surviving are his parents; wife of 27 years, Tina Steinbacher; sister, Anne (Jonathon) Gerke; mother-in-law, Mary Eberle; brother-in-laws, Tony (Lori) Eberle, Michael Eberle; grandmother, Doris Porter; along with many loving nieces, nephews and extended family members. Service is 7 pm, Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street, with calling from 4 pm until the service. Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Association.
