Robert "Bob" Harold Schaffner, 87, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2023. He was born to the late Harold and Mary (Cunningham) Schaffner on October 21, 1936, in Indianapolis, IN. Bob spent his career in Commercial HVAC Sales which brought him and his family to Fort Wayne in the early 1970s. He enjoyed auto racing, boating, and time with his family at the lake. Bob was a season ticket holder for over 50 years for the Indianapolis 500. He was a long-time member of the American Legion.

Bob is survived by his children, Vicki Schaffner of Mesa, AZ, Scott (June Fields) Schaffner of Las Vegas, NV, Dianne (Steve Roach) Schaffner of Fort Wayne, IN, and Jill (Jared) Beery of Fort Wayne, IN; grandchildren, Cassie (Brett) Lettenberger, Christy (Matt) Naylor, and Natalie (Ryan Evans) Schaffner; six great-grandchildren; siblings, Ann McNicholl of CA and Richard (Mimi) Schaffner of OH; step-sons, Steve, Jim and Tom Sherbert; and a host of friends. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judy.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Bob's house.
