Robert D. Ray, age 91, of Fort Wayne, IN, and formerly of Clinton, TN, passed away on September 2, 2026. He was born in South Bend, IN, to the late Dean Robert and Elizabeth Magdelina Ray.

Robert worked his career as a manager in manufacturing, and after retirement, he worked in a sales position at Mayo Garden Center in Knoxville, TN, the perfect job, as he was an avid gardener. He also enjoyed woodworking and golfing in his free time.

Robert is survived by his siblings, Norma Proteau, Susan Mundy, and Don Ray; several nieces and nephews, including his niece who served as his caregiver, Erica (Scott) Drummond.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Carol Ray; and his sister, Nancy Soos.

Per Robert's request, there will be no services at this time.
