Robert "Bob" N. Doyal II, age 82, of Fort Wayne passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021. He was born in Indianapolis, IN to the late Robert and Mary Doyal. Bob graduated from Howe High School, received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Butler University, and later his PhD from Purdue University. He began his career as a teacher working for Indianapolis High Schools, University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, and later for University of St. Francis. After teaching he began private practice counseling with Dr. Ronald Pancner of Fort Wayne and continued his counseling practice with Crossroads, the Lutheran Health Network, and with Dr. Steve Schneider. Bob had a passion for music, performing in bands during high school, and singing with the Fort Wayne Philharmonic and the Summitt City Singers. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Doyal; sons, Chris (Julie) Doyal and Jeff (Katie) Doyal; step-sons, Matt (Kerry) Bierbaum and Todd (Thuong) Bierbaum; grandchildren, Jessica and Alex Doyal, Ana, Sam and Ellen Bierbaum; and his brother, Guy (Marilyn) Doyal. Service is 2:00 pm, Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St., with calling one hour prior. Calling also 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at the funeral home. A private entombment will take place at Highland Park Cemetery.
