Robert Lee "Bob" Kurtz, 77, passed away Friday, January 21, 2022. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Bob was a son of the late John and Martha Kurtz. In 1965, he married his wife Chrys. Bob was a proud U.S. Army Veteran who served in Vietnam. He owned and operated Kurtz Excavating with his wife for 43 years, prior to retirement. Bob had a passion for driving fast in fast cars and was mechanically gifted. Bob adored his 4 grandsons and loved spending time with them. He enjoyed wintering in Fort Myers Beach with family. Surviving are his wife Chrys Kurtz; son, Brad (Mindy) Kurtz; grandsons, Alex, Jacob, Caleb, Ethan Kurtz; daughter, Sara (Bryce) Cordell; Norwegian daughter, Christine Wigaard (Espen). Bob was preceded in death by 2 brothers, 1 sister and has 1 surviving sister Karen Berschauer. A private graveside service will take place with military honors.
