Robert G. Girton Jr., age 74, of Fort Wayne passed away Thursday, June 30, 2022. He was born in Fort Wayne to the late Robert and Lorene Girton. Robert served his country as a member of the U.S. Marine Corp. during the Vietnam War and was awarded the Purple Heart Medal. Robert worked for Phelps Dodge and also called Bingo at Coliseum Bingo for many years. He is survived by his daughter, Kristy (Donnie) Prine; four grandchildren, Kara Hartman, Brittany Turnbow, Tiffany Turnbow, Amber Turnbow; 9 great-grandchildren; and his former spouse, Pam Girton. Robert was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Anna Turnbow. Service is 6:00 pm, Friday, July 8, 2022 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N.
