Robert "Bob" E. Smith Jr., 75, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2023. He was born to the late Robert and Rose Smith on September 23, 1947 in Fort Wayne. Bob was a part-time owner of Accel Drywall and a race car driver for many years. He was a Hall of Fame inductee at Avilla Motor Speedway and Baer Field Speedway. He also raced at Angola Motor Speedway and was an avid attendee.

Bob is survived by his wife, Karen Smith; daughter, Lisa (Jay) Lytle; brother, Denny Smith; uncle, Bill (Connie) Smith; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Chris Smith.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services (6557 N. Clinton Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46825) from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
