Robert Glenn "Bob" Boxell

Robert Glenn "Bob" Boxell, 84, passed away on June 29, 2026, in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Bob was proud to be an ironworker and a member of Ironworkers Local 147. He worked for many years for G & L Corporation in Fort Wayne, IN, before retiring as a site foreman/supervisor. Bob loved living out his retirement years at his Lake James Estates home in Fremont. He enjoyed being active in the association. His pastimes were sitting out on his back deck reading the newspaper, enjoying the weather, and drinking a beer. Also enjoyed sitting on his front porch swing, greeting neighbors passing by, and tinkering around the house.

Robert is survived by his wife of 60 years, Linda C. (Jackson) Boxell; children, Michael (Melanie) Boxell of Naples FL, Randall McKinley of Auburn IN, Glenn (Donna) Boxell of Marlborough MA, Jeffery Boxell of League City TX, Robert A. Boxell of Huntertown IN, Michelle (Lance) Richards, Melissa Boxell of New Orleans LA; sisters, Lynn Alford of Indiana, and Dixie Puccetti of Texas; many grandchildren; and great-grandchildren from all over the country.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fonda Boxell Hockemeyer and Chalmer F. Boxell; a sister, Barbara Haner; and his daughter, Michelle Wooster.
