Obituary
Rita S. Meredith, 77, of Grabill, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025. She was born to the late Harold and Ida (Cohrs) Hetrick in Woodburn, IN on June 11, 1947. Rita married Ronald Meredith on October 17, 1975. She retired as a bookkeeper for NAPA Auto Parts after over 20 years. She had a passion for flowers, was a very talented crafter and loved to read. Rita was strong Christian woman.
Rita is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Ron Meredith; daughter, Lesley L. Sears and her husband, Jerry L. Sears; siblings, Max Hetrick, John Hetrick and Richard Hetrick; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Along with her parents, Rita was preceded in death by her siblings, Audrey Bruns, Marion Hetrick, Donny Hetrick, Gene Hetrick, Marie Keller, and Bob Hetrick.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 12:00 pm at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services (6557 N. Clinton Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46825) with visitation from 10:00 am until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Church of God, Columbia City, Indiana.
