Ricky "Rick" L. Kimmel, age 72, passed away January 8, 2026. He worked for 30 years as a sheet metal worker with Local 20 and, later, before his retirement, worked at Wayne Metals.

Rick was a former member of the Fort Wayne Masons and loved spending time in the outdoors with family and friends, hunting, fishing, and shooting.

Rick is survived by his wife of 52 years, Diana Kimmel; his children, Ben (Jennifer) Kimmel and Michelle (Jeremy) Bock; five grandchildren, Kaylyn, Charlie, Ethan, Ella, and Isabella; and two brothers; sisters-in-law, Debbie (Rob) Plunkett and Darlene (Dave) Collins; brother-in-law, Don Kissinger; four nieces; and two nephews. He is also survived by family who were especially meaningful to him, Scott (Cindy) Raugh, Marty (Suzi) Raugh, Shelly Raugh, Barbara and Susan Schoppman.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his chosen family, Alice, Phil, and Bonnie Schoppman, Chuck (Carol) Raugh, and Greg Raugh.
