Richard G. Uhrick, 91, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 28, 2023. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Richard was a son of the late Lindley and Doris (Rhoades) Uhrick. Richard graduated from New Haven High School and attended Indiana University. New Haven High School is where he met the love of his life, Jean Springer. Richard and Jean were married for 70 lovely years. He worked for Central Supply as manager of the Industrial Department for 33 years. Richard also served as St. Joseph Township Trustee for 24 years, earning Indiana Township of the year in 2002. He served on many boards, including Three Rivers Ambulance Authority and the Indiana Township Association. Richard enjoyed gardening with his wife, traveling, and fishing on vacation. His biggest joy was spending time and traveling with his family. Surviving is his loving wife, Jean Uhrick; children, Scott (Kris) Uhrick, Sarah (Brad) Gnagy; grandchildren Michelle Uhrick, Sandy Uhrick, Graham Gnagy and Carmen Gnagy. Richard was preceded in death by his siblings, John Uhrick, and Linda Whitelock. A celebration of Richard's Life will be at 3:00pm on Friday, June 9, 2023, at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street, with calling from 1-3 until the service. Memorials may be to Three Rivers Ambulance Authority or Alzheimer's Association of Greater Indiana Chapter.
