Richard "Rich" E. Trent, 62, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Monday October 20th, 2025. Rich was born in Jacksonville, IL to William "Bill" and Charlotte Trent. He graduated from Northrop High School in Fort Wayne. He then went on to serve his country in the United States Army as an MP.
Rich is survived by his wife of 38 years, Chantal Trent; children, Mandy (Lindsay) Alston, Candyce (Justin) Bowser, and Eric (Christina) Trent; grandkids, Austin, Ava, Kaiden, Tyler, Rylan, William, Margaux, Dax, and Madeline; mother, Charlotte Trent; siblings, Cindy (Phillip) Middleton, Danny Trent; and special brother in law, Charles (Michelle) Dempsey.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Trent.
There will be a memorial visitation for Rich on Tuesday October 28, 2025 from 4-6pm at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St. Preferred memorials may be directed to Honor Flight of Northeast Indiana.
