Obituary

Richard Dale Schrenk, age 86, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, July 25, 2025. He was born on December 7th, 1938, in Chicago, IL to Elmer and Delila Schrenk. While in Chicago, Richard's father worked for Janice's grandfather, and as it happened, Richard met his future wife as an infant. As a child, Richard's family moved to a dairy farm in Michigan where his parents shared their love of music with their children which grew into his lifelong love of praising God through song. After graduation, he attended Western Michigan earning his bachelor's in business and aviation. During this time, he married Janice Winzeler.

After 13 Years of marriage, many moves and jobs in the business community, Richard and Janice moved their family to New Haven, IN to farm with Janice's father. There, they raised their 3 children, encouraging them to love the Lord Jesus, teaching them spiritual truths to live a life pleasing to the Lord. Later in life, when they could no longer take care of themselves, they moved with their eldest child to live on the Wyoming-Colorado border. Richard loved living in the mountains at 8000 feet above sea level.

Richard is survived by his wife Janice, they were married for 64 years this past January; his children Debra (Eko - deceased) Pinardi, Steven (Linda) Schrenk, Tamara (Gregory) Nott; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Thomas (Joan) Schrenk and Duane (Cathie) Schrenk; and sister, Linda Koehl.

Service is 1:00 pm, Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St. Fort Wayne, IN 46825 , with calling three hours prior beginning at 10:00 am.
