Richard Martin Regedanz, Jr., age 71, passed away August 13, 2018 in Fort Wayne. He was born in Fort Wayne to the late Richard, Sr. and Vivian Regedanz. Richard completed his Bachelor's degree from IPFW and later his Master's degree from IUPUI. He began his career at Parkview Hospital Randallia as the Director of Social Services and started Senior Health Services. Richard was instrumental by incorporating social services in to the ER at Parkview. Later Richard worked for The Towne House Retirement Community as the Director of Marketing. He was a member of Trinity English Lutheran Church and served on the boards for S.H.I.P., Visiting Nurse Hospice, American Cancer Society, and the Fort Wayne Allen County Board of Health. Richard was an avid gardener and an experimental cook. He is survived by his children, Krista (Brian Wilson) Regedanz of Montera, CA, Julie (Curt) Hursey of Syracuse, IN, Katie (Jeff) Austin of Fort Wayne, and Robert (Kelsey) Regedanz of San Diego, CA; 6 grandchildren, Lily, Bailey, Jack, Baylor, Charlee, Ruby, and Rowan; the mother of his children, Elizabeth Regedanz of Fort Wayne; and his three sisters, Kay (Harry) Blazoudaki, Joan Carter, and Rosie Regedanz. Richard was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Faith Austin. Service is 11:00 am, Saturday, August 18, 2018 at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N.
