Richard C. Myers, 67, of LaOtto died Friday, March 23, 2018 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. He was born April 5, 1950 in Fort Wayne, a son of Orval and Betty (Longardner) Myers. Richard was a graduate of the 1968 Class of New Haven High School, a peaceful soul who always had a song for us. He was a musician, singer and guitarist in the Fort Wayne musical community for 50 years. He was the lead singer in the Bullitt Band and he had been an account executive and safety manager at Waste Management.

Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Marsha (Hand) Myers of LaOtto; mother, Betty Myers of Avilla; son, Richard C. Myers, II of LaOtto; daughter, Marisa (Peter) Bernstein of Chicago, IL; grandchildren, Nicholas & Jacob Bernstein; brothers, Rick (Becky) Myers of Avilla; Jack (Bambi) Myers of South Milford; James (Karen) Myers of Kendallville and Jeffrey Myers of Avilla; sister, Jackie Sollberger (Dale) Harris of Granite City, IL; many nieces; nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Orval J. Myers and nephew, Ian Myers.

Funeral service is 11 AM Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Fairhaven Funeral Home 6557 N. Clinton Street with visitation one-hour prior. Visitation also 4 – 8 PM Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at the funeral home.
