REX ALLEN CECIL, 74, of Fort Wayne died Monday, May 22, 2017 at Parkview Regional Medical Center.

He was born on July 28, 1942 in Fort Wayne to the late Kenneth E. and Amy I. (Leonard) Cecil. Rex worked for Fort Wayne National Bank for 22 years as a branch manager. He then worked for Star Financial Bank for 15 years as an indirect loan officer. He was a member of St Paul Lutheran Church and a member and past president of the Anthony Wayne Lions Club.

Surviving are his wife, Mary (Frederickson) Cecil of Fort Wayne; children, Channing (Joann) Cecil of Delta, OH; Erin (Denny) Lyman of Henderson, CO; Martin (Jennifer) Cecil of Portage, MI; Hans (Tina Marie Ray) Cecil of Linton, IN; and Rebecca Hartleroad of Fort Wayne; seven grandchildren; brothers, Howard Cecil of Palm Springs, CA; Earl Cecil of Indianapolis; and George Cecil of Albion.

Preceded in death by a grandson and three brothers. Memorial Service is 2 P.M. Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Fairhaven Funeral Home 6557 North Clinton Street with Pastor Richard G. Maassel officiating.. Memorial visitation is from 12 P.M. until time of service Saturday with a Lions Honorarium at 1:45 P.M. Burial will be in Cedar Creek Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the Anthony Wayne Lions Club, St. Paul Lutheran Church, or Cornerstone Wesleyan Church at Albion.
