Becky Marquis, age 72, passed away, Monday, March 18, 2024, at her home in Fort Wayne, IN, surrounded by her family. She was born in Evansville, IN to the late Gordon and Wilma Bennett (Allison) and graduated from Westville High School where she was a cheerleader and worked in her family's restaurant.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Michael Marquis; children, Jennifer Marquis and Sara Tanner; granddaughter, Avery Sturgeon; brothers, Ron (Cindy) Bennett and Randy (Melanie) Bennett.
Becky was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and dog lover whose smile could light up a room and whose laugh was infectious. She worked as a florist and sold Avon for many years before becoming an entrepreneur. She started her own business to help her husband and others with driving limitations. Becky enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing cards and Bunco ,Zumba, shopping, eating out, decorating her home, tending to her flowers, and watching IU Basketball. She touched the lives of so many with her kindness and thoughtfulness, she will be dearly missed.
There will be no service or burial per her wishes. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Humane Fort Wayne or the Parkinson's Foundation.
