Raymond P. Silva, 82, passed away February 15, 2017. He was born in Monroe, Indiana and was the son of Vincent and Trinidad Silva.
He was a 1952 graduate of Central Catholic High school in Ft. Wayne, IN and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Raymond retired from Dana corporation after working there for 39 years 9 months. He also worked at Hall's Drive-in Restaurant part time since his youth. He was a lifetime member of the Marine Corp League, V.F.W. post 1000 and an active volunteer of the Democrat party. Raymond was also a member of Eagles Lodge and The Navy Club.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy Silva, daughters; Julie Robinson Clark and Jenice Silva. Brothers; Ralph Silva, Raul Silva of Detroit, Michigan and Rubuen Silva of Greenwood, LA . Three grandchildren, Josh and Stephanie Robinson and Robert Jones, and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Joe Silva, his former wife Marge Silva, and sisters Delores and Pauline, brothers Emanuel and Joe Silva.
A funeral service will be held at FairHaven Funeral Home 6557 N. Clinton Street Fort Wayne, on Saturday February 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with calling one hour prior. Visitation hours will be Friday, February 24, 2017 from 12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Marion National Cemetery.
