Ralph J. Gibson, 94, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2019 in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born in Hancock County, Tennessee to the late Albert Gibson and Viney Bell. Ralph worked for International Harvestor for over 30 years and most recently with Scott's grocery for 15 years. He proudly served his country as a member of the US Navy during WWII as a Gunner's Mate aboard the USS Rall DE-304. Ralph was a member of the American Legion Post 499. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Mary Lou Gibson; children, Peggy (Glenn) Conkling and Mike (Billie) Gibson all of Fort Wayne; 5 grandchildren, Andy (Martha), Greg (Stephanie), Angie, Jason (Jill), and Andrea (Joe); and 9 great-grandchildren. Ralph was also preceded in death by several siblings. Service is 4:00pm, Friday, August 2, 2019 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St. with calling two hours prior beginning at 2:00 pm. Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice.
