Ralph "Mike" Bowser, age 73, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at his home in Columbia City, IN. He was born in Fort Wayne, to the late Ralph and Jean Bowser. Mike proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army. Mike worked as an engineer and as supervisor of housekeeping for the V.A. Medical Center where he served as Union President. He was a talented artist, working in both woodworking and drawing. Mike was a member of the First Church of God, enjoyed sports, and was an avid fisherman, and fan of I.U. basketball. Mike is survived by his wife, Jackie Bowser; children, Kirk Bowser and Ryan (Kendra) Bowser; step-children, Jason Gerardot and Danielle Arthur; 8 grandchildren; and brother, Keith (Shirley) Schlichter. He was preceded in death by two siblings, Drew Schlichter and Mary Bowser. Service is 5:00 pm, Monday, October 9, 2023 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St. with calling two prior beginning at 3:00 pm. A Celebration of Life will be held 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Saturday October 14, 2023 at the Bowser residence.
