Pitak "Pete" Rugsaken, 44, of Fort Wayne, Ind., passed away on Sunday February 27th, 2022. Pete was born in Thailand then migrated to the United States and graduated from Ball State University. After graduation he moved to Fort Wayne and opened Baan Thai Restaurant that he operated for 20 years. Pete loved playing soccer, camping with his family, and competing in pickle ball. Anyone who knew Pete would agree that he was kind, sweet, very funny, caring and joyful. Pete especially loved talking, and joking around with his customers at the restaurant.
He is survived by his wife, Roong; children, Niecha and Thanwa; uncle, Dr. Kris and his wife Rosemary Rugsaken of Muncie, Ind. Pete was preceded in death by his parents Jeerasuk and Leam Rugsaken.
Memorial Service for Pete will take place on Friday March 11th 2022 at 6:00 pm with calling 2 hours prior, all at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services (6557 N. Clinton St. Fort Wayne 46824)
