Phillip M. Du Bois, 89, of Fort Wayne. Passed away peacefully on Sunday July 26, 2026 at the V.A. Hospital.
Phill served his country in the US Airforce, he entered in September 1956 and was honorably discharged in June 1960.
Some of his hobbies included fishing, hunting, bowling and golfing. He was a member of the American Legion Post 98 and the Knight’s of Columbus.
Phill retired after a long career with Pratt and Whitney Aircraft.
He is survived by his children, Alan Du Bois, Mark (Terry) Du Bois, Lorena (Steven) Dondley, and Brenda (David) Pereira; 4 grandchildren; siblings, Connie Schuckel, Mickey Byanski, and Fred (Carol) Du Bois; stepsons, Richard Albert and Michael Albert; and special friend Sheila Loftus.
Phill was preceded in death by his wife, Rheta; and sister, Pam Reece.
A Mass of Christian Resurrection will be celebrated on Saturday, August 8th 2026 at 11 AM, at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church,1502 E Wallen Road, with memorial visitation beginning at 10 AM.
There will be a Celebration of Life that afternoon at VFW Post 5582, 4115 E. Chicago St Columbia City 46725 from 2-5 pm with military honors at 2pm.
Preferred memorials may be directed to the Wounded Warriors Fund or Honor Flight of Northeast Indiana.
