Pastor Phil Jones, 75, of Roanoke, Ind, passed away peacefully on Thursday February 15, 2024, at his home. He was born and raised in Michigan and had relocated to Indiana 5 years ago to be closer to family. Phil served faithfully as Pastor in several churches for over 50 years. He was a true example of what a strong, Christian man should be. Phil was a very loving and supportive husband, father, and grandfather. He loved to read and study scripture. He enjoyed fishing and listening to southern gospel music. Phil was very community minded and had a laugh that you could recognize from across the room. He was the chairman of Shepherd's Care Ministries and currently served at New Life Ministries and in the church.
Phil is survived by his wife of 55 years, Pat Jones; children, Brad (Amy) Jones, Greg (Sasha) Jones, Pamela Baker, Kim (Mel) Jones, and bonus son Tyler; grandchildren, Ashleigh (Tyler) Abbott, Jordin Taylor, Dalton Jones, Olivia Jones, and Aidan Prather; great grandchildren, Charlie, Kenzie, Mason and Christopher; siblings, Ruth (Doug) Reeves, Mary Newsome, Sue (Jim) St Charles, Dan (Margaret) Jones, James (Denise) Jones; and many extended family members.
Funeral service will take place at Fellowship Missionary Church, 2536 Tillman Rd. Fort Wayne In 46816, on Saturday February 24, 2024, at 11 am with visitation beginning at 10 am, visitation will also take place on Friday February 23, 2024, from 4-7 pm also at the church. Preferred memorials may be directed to New Life Ministry or Shepherd's Care Ministry. Arrangements entrusted to FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
