Obituary

Perry Morgan, 78, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2025, in Fort Wayne. He was born in Ypsilanti, MI to the late Clarke and Helen Morgan.

For decades, Perry owned and operated Morgan Distribution, an automotive refinishing warehouse. He took great pride in the business, dedicating himself fully to its success. It was more than just a career—it was a reflection of his work ethic, determination, and commitment to quality. What made the company truly special, though, was the people he worked alongside—those who believed in Morgan Distribution as much as he did. That shared commitment is what made the business run so well for so many years, and it was something he never took for granted.

Perry had a deep love for cars, hunting, and motorcycles—anything that roared, moved fast, or offered freedom. He could talk shop about engines and paint finishes for hours, and few things made him light up like a well-kept ride or a crisp autumn morning in the woods. But just as much, Perry cherished the quiet: sitting inside (or outside) by the pond, watching birds, squirrels, and deer move through the backyard. In the evenings, he and Chris often walked the neighborhood together—unhurried, side by side—sharing observations about the day, the trees, or simply enjoying the rhythm of each other's company. Those small, steady rituals brought him peace. A kind of peace that required no words.

Perry had a gift for detail, a stubborn kind of integrity, and a heart that softened beautifully with time. He wasn't always expressive in words, but in the later years, he said the things that mattered. He grew gentler, more open, and even more deeply loved.

Perry is survived by his wife of 18 years, Chris Morgan; and many family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Dennis and Keith. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date, where stories, memories, and laughter can be shared in his honor. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly invites you to consider a donation to the Carcinoid Cancer Foundation—or a similar organization dedicated to research, awareness, and support for those navigating this disease.
