Peggy H. Brock, 67, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Peggy was the daughter of the late Harold and Bessie (Murphy) Stabler.
She graduated from Leo High School, Class of 1977. During her working years, Peggy was a longtime retail associate at K-Mart on Illinois Road, where she worked faithfully until the store’s closure. Following her time at K-Mart, Peggy discovered a passion for nurturing young children and went on to work for Kindercare, where she found great joy in supporting children in their early development.
Peggy married the love of her life, Richard Brock, and together they built a life full of laughter, love, and adventure. One of their favorite pastimes was simply hopping in the car and taking a road trip, enjoying wherever the journey might lead.
Peggy cherished her role as a wife and was a devoted mother and caring sister. She especially adored her grandson, Boston, and treasured every moment spent caring for him and watching him grow.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Richard Brock; son, Wade (Taylor) Brock; grandson, Boston; siblings, Larry (Lynn) Stabler, Gary (Mary) Stabler, Alan (Mona) Stabler, Glenda Waldren, and Becky (Dave) DeWitt.
Peggy was preceded in death by her son, Grant Brock, and brother-in-law, Tim Waldren.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 6, 2026, at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street, with calling from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Highland Park Cemetery.
