Patricia made her way into this world on December 31, 1946, in Minneapolis, the eldest of 3 daughters born to John and Lucille Cederstrom. She enjoyed a lively childhood in the Midwest where her two younger sisters, Ruth and Mary, looked up to her, and where she set a high academic standard for them to follow. The Cederstrom family later relocated to Inglewood, California, where Pat graduated high school. She began her college education at the University of Minnesota but quickly discovered that she preferred the California sunshine to Minnesota snow. She transferred to UCLA and eventually earned her degree in Business from the University of California, Bakersfield.

Pat enjoyed a long and successful career with Time Warner, beginning as an entry-level customer service representative and working her way into management in the company’s computer systems department. It was during her years at Time Warner that she met her beloved husband, Mac. They married in 1984 and shared a loving and fulfilling life together until Mac’s passing in 2012.

During her career at Time Warner, Pat befriended a coworker, Richard Weiss and enjoyed a close relationship with him and his wife Graciela. She was especially grateful to be part of their family’s life and was there to welcome the birth of their twins in December 2014, offering her love, help, and companionship.

In 2013, Pat closed one chapter of her life in California, selling her home and embarking on a new adventure. With her beloved cat, Cinder, by her side, she made the long drive all the way from California to Fort Wayne, Indiana, to be closer to her sister Mary. It was a journey that reflected Pat’s independent spirit and willingness to embrace a new chapter of life. Fort Wayne soon became home, and she spent the remaining years of her life there.

Pat was beautiful, intelligent, and blessed with an incredible wit. She could make you laugh when you needed it most and had a way of helping people laugh at themselves without ever making them feel small.

She was a master cross stitcher, spending hours and hours on every piece she did, making sure the back of the cross stitch was as beautiful as the front, giving you a glimpse into her high standards.

Patricia leaves behind memories that will be treasured by her family and friends. Though she is no longer here to share her laughter and her wonderfully candid perspective on life, the people who loved her will carry those memories with them.

She leaves behind her sister Ruth Cederstrom, her great-nephew Tim Martin, Jr., her close friends Margaret Fox, Susie Wild, and all the wonderful neighbors she met in her new home.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, September 11th, 11am at Brookside Estates Clubhouse (Falling Brook Lane, Fort Wayne, IN 46835)
