Obituary
Patricia A. (Franks) Jones, 87, joyfully accepted her wings to heaven on March 25, 2025. She will be missed daily by those who loved her, but those same people will celebrate that her crooked fingers now point straight again, her feet no longer cause her pain, and her memory now serves her well. She was born in Wawaka, IN, and always proud of that fact. She loved her small-town upbringing and often shared stories of the farm and life with her parents and friends there. Soon, she will return again to Wawaka, per her wishes, to the land that she loved her entire life. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert (Bob), who has had the Euchre table set up and ready to play and has been patiently waiting for her since his passing in 2018. She is also preceded in death by her parents Ford and Wiladean Franks of Wawaka, IN. She is survived by her son, David (Lisa) Schnellbach; daughter, Stephanie (Michael) Helgesen; grandchildren, Matthew (Jessica) Schnellbach, Brittany (Kevin) Bewley, Todd (Katie) Helgesen, Chad Helgesen; and nine great-grandchildren; stepdaughters, Lori (Michael) Yerem, Kathy (Tom) McBride and their amazing families. Not to be forgotten are two very special grand dogs, Doug and Teddy. A celebration of life will take place on April 2, 2025, at Fairhaven Funeral Home & Cremation Services (6557 N. Clinton Street, Fort Wayne, IN) at 1:00 pm with calling from 11:00 am until the service. Because she never met a dog she didn't love, in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a Noble County Humane Shelter.
