Patricia Marie Bennett, age 69, passed away May 14, 2026 at her home in Fort Wayne, IN, surrounded by her family. She was born in Grand Rapids, MI to the late Arthur and Virginia Hastings.

Patricia worked for the Fort Wayne Newspapers as an administrative assistant and, most recently, as an assistant librarian and in the lunchroom for Fort Wayne Community Schools

She is survived by her husband, Steven Eugene Bennett; children, Stephanie Bennett and Steven P. (Laura) Bennett; three grandchildren, Tyson, Mason, and Jackson; and four siblings, Ginger Rittenhouse, Robert (Nancy) Hastings, Jim Hastings, and Art (Jeanne) Hastings.

She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Caden Bennett.
