Oma "Jean" Gaskill, 90, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Wednesday June 12, 2024. Jean was born in Oneida, TN. She was raised by her parents, Ida and Walter Stanley. Jean was a woman of great faith who knew no stranger, and always had a warm meal for family and friends. She was a longtime member of Bible Baptist Church, Hope Missionary Church, and most recently, City on a Hill in Uniondale.
Jean is survived by her children, Jerry (Liz) Neal, Linda (Kevin) Keller, Tammy (Mark) Cobley, and Tonya Marks; 8 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren; additional dear family members include, Jeanne Cook, Jon (Susan) Sharpe, Jeff (Glenna) Sharpe, Jamie (Kerry) Sharpe, and Bonnie (Wayne) Mullins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Gaskill; son, Jeffrey Neal; her parents; and brother, Ronald Sharpe.
A funeral service will be held on Friday June 14, 2024 at 1:00 pm with visitation one hour prior, visitation will also be on Thursday June 13th, 2024 from 5:00-7:00 pm, all at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St. Preferred memorials in Jean's honor may be directed to City on a Hill Church.
