Obituary

Norval Max Brotherton, age 90, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at his home in Fort Wayne. He was born in Muncie, IN to the late Jay and Jesse Brotherton. Norval served his country as a member of the US Army. He began his career at International Harvester and later was the owner and operator of Brotherton Heating and Cooling. He also was an instructor at Anthis Career Center. Norval attended Calvary Christian Church and enjoyed fishing, guns, and spending time on his motorcycle. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Norma Brotherton; children, Barb (Mark) McKinney, Cindy (David) Borkenstein, Ann (David) Richards, Jeff (Vickie) Warner, Bill Brotherton, David Warner, Melinda (Suheal) Hawash, Nancy Costello, Brandon (Carlie) Brotherton, Chad (Brenna) Brotherton, and Amanda (Justin) Arnold; 38 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; He was preceded in death by son, Daniel Brotherton; 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Service is 6:00 pm, Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St., with calling two hours prior beginning at 4:00 pm.
