Norma Jean Shaffer, 92, passed away at Kingston Residence on March 11, 2025, surrounded by loving family. She was born December 20, 1932 near Monroeville, Indiana to Hazel and Andrew Gerardot. She was married for over 70 years to the love of her life, Stanley Shaffer. Norma created the home everyone would want to grow up in and have for their own. She anchored her family in expectations, love and support. She loved babies, a good book, funny stories, and jigsaw puzzles. There was no better help if help was needed. Norma was reunited in heaven with her husband, her parents, two infant children, and a great grandson, Quintin. Norma is survived by her children, Kathleen Wetter (Jerome), Kristine Graves, Karen Ehrman (Dave), Dean Shaffer (Melissa), Greg Shaffer, Michelle Shaffer (Joe), Stephen Shaffer (Julia), Mark Shaffer (Gerri), and Gina Fisher (Mark). Also, 24 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, plus one anticipated great grandchild and one anticipated great-great-grandchild, and sister-in-law, Jeanne Shaffer. Norma will be with us in our hearts every day. With grateful hearts we do not say goodbye but we will see you on the other side. Mass of Christian Burial is 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven with calling one hour prior. Calling also 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, on Monday, March 17, 2024, at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St. with a Rosary Service at 4:00 pm. Burial at I.O.O.F. Cemetery of New Haven. Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice or St. John the Baptist Catholic Church - New Haven.
