Norma M. Pruitt, 81, passed away at Parkview North surrounded by her loving family on August 7, 2026, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Louis and Helen Baughman.
Norma retired from the Indiana Department of Transportation after working there for 24 years as a dispatcher. She was extremely crafty and really enjoyed to cross stitch and sew, and would regularly make blankets for her grandkids. She enjoyed spending time at the campground and would never pass up a cold Pepsi or her homemade sweet corn bread. Above all she deeply loved and cared for her family. Her family and especially her grandkids were her biggest joy.
Missed by her friends and family, Norma is survived by her children, Vernon (Tammy) Criswell, Scott (Jenny) Criswell, Sylvia (Dean) Mowen, and Marjorie Sheets; grandchildren, Jason Levy, Greg Waikel, Justin (Whitney) Brock, Brandon Brock, Nikole (Kyle) Jaros, Tori Robbins, Scott (Raegan) Criswell, Caleb Criswell, Laila Criswell; 14 great-grandkids; two great-great grandkids; sisters, Bonnie Robbins, and Mary McCoy; and many nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Kathy Riegle.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Helen Baughman; brother, Louis Baughman Jr; two great-grandchildren, Bentley Brock, Oliver Brock.
Celebration of Life will be on Thursday, August 13, 2026, from 3-7 pm, at the Waynedale Masonic Lodge #739 (7039 Elzey Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46809).
