Nils Mark Merriman, 65, of Ossian, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2023. He was born to the late Mark D. and Armenda Ruth (Smith) Merriman in Fort Wayne on December 15, 1957. He graduated from Wayne High School in 1976. Nils worked at Tokheim, Two Ladies and a Bus and he retired from B.F. Goodrich Tire. He enjoyed golfing, bonfires, bowling, and fishing.

Nils is survived by his children, Glen (Ashley) Reidt, Jamie (Brian) Smith, Rachel (Eric) Schisler, Kayla Merriman and Cody Merriman; grandchildren, Serenity Reidt, Harmony Reidt, Kiylah Reidt, Ray Reidt, Lacy Smith, Haley Smith, Erik Smith, Isaak Smith, and Alex Schisler; mother of his children, Kelli Harlow; siblings, Rhonda (Jim) Polka and Kent Merriman; and a host of relatives and friends. Along with his parent's he was preceded in death by brother, Terry Merriman.

Funeral service will be on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services (6557 N. Clinton Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46825) at 7:00 pm with visitation beginning at 3:00 pm until the time of service.
