Nicholas Wade Huyck Fugate, 22, passed away Saturday, August 25, 2018. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Nicholas was the son of Laurie Kiessling and Brian Fugate. Early in his life, Nicholas liked a good challenge. With that determination to succeed, he graduated with high honors from New Tech Academy at Wayne High School. While at Wayne High School he was a star baseball pitcher. He went on to attend St. Francis University where he was majoring in mathematics. Nicholas loved watching sports, socializing with his family and friends. Nicholas personality allowed him to make many friends throughout his life. Surviving are his parents, Brian Fugate and Laurie Kiessling; biological father, Travis Huyck; brother, Brian Fugate Jr., aunts, Tracy (Aaron Knupp) Stano, Angela Tillman, along with many loving cousins, and extended family members. A Celebration of Nicholas's Life will be 6 pm, Friday, August 31, 2018 at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton, with calling from 4 pm until the service. Calling will be at the funeral home Thursday, August 30, 2018 from 2 pm to 8 pm. Memorials may be to Nicholas's Family, in care of David Mitchell.
