Nancy Ann (Thompson) Skiver, 81, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on December 28, 2023. Nancy was born in Laporte, IN on July 6 1942 to Arthur and Bernice Thompson. She survived being the middle child between her brothers Max and Kitt. She married J. Michael Skiver on May 7, 1966 in South Bend and endured 57 years of marital bliss. She held down the Fort (Sill) during the Vietnam War. They settled in Hudson Lake, Indiana where she released her sons Jeff (Carrie) and Tim (Jessica) into the wild. Moving back to Fort Wayne in 1986, she eventually settle in at Elmhurst High School where she was a secretary for 17 years, until the school's closing. She cared and "worried" about every student and co-worker more than they could ever know. She helped raise 2 awesome granddaughters (Emily and Zoe) and has a fleet of nieces and nephews that she was extremely proud of. A memorial gathering to be held this summer will be announced at a later date. If you so desire, memorials in Nancy's name can be made to the Fort Wayne Community Schools Foundation or to Stillwater Hospice.
