Obituary

Nancy Neff Screeton, 90, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 25, 2026. Born on March 1, 1936, in Danville, Illinois, Nancy was the daughter of the late Richard and Norma (Murphy) Neff. She spent most of her life in Fort Wayne, where she graduated from Central High School.
Nancy married the love of her life, Howard Screeton, who preceded her in death in July 2000. Together, they welcomed three children over the course of six years, and Nancy devoted herself to being a wonderful stay-at-home mom. When her children began school, she went on to work at First Federal Bank and later at the IUPUI Bursar’s Office.
Above all, Nancy will be remembered as an amazing mom, grandma, and great-grandma. She was a selfless, generous, kind, and loving woman who always put her family first. Her love and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will miss her dearly. Nancy was a member of St. Joseph United Methodist Church, whose services are held at Heritage Pointe. Her family finds comfort in knowing that she is now rejoicing in the arms of her Savior.
Nancy leaves behind her loving children, Cathy (Steve) Dwyer, Steve (Elaine) Screeton, and Terry (Linda) Screeton; seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and her sister, Sharon Neff Biggs.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street, Fort Wayne, with calling from 10 a.m. until the service. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Fort Wayne.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph United Methodist Church.
