Nancy Ann Pyle, 78, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 10, 2021 surrounded by her family. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana Nancy was a daughter of the late Walter and Marie Gallmeier. She graduated from North Side High School. She went on to attend Parkview School of Nursing for 3 years, earning her bachelors degree from IPFW. Nancy then earned her masters and her nurse practitioner license from IUPUI. She began her carrier as an RN at Parkview Hospital and then for Dr. Robert Schleinkhofer. She then worked serving the community as the director of WIC and Multiple Sclerosis. She was instrumental in starting Focus on Health. After receiving her Master's degree she worked at Neighborhood Health Services. After receiving her certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, she worked in offices in Fort Wayne, Fort Myers and Holland. She also volunteered for Matthew 25 and Healthier Moms & Babies. Her hobbies include sailing, camping, reading, biking, spending time her husband, beloved small white doggies and family. Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Joe Pyle; children, Barry (Natalie) Pyle, Amy (Christopher) Pedersen; grandchildren, Nathaniel, Benjamin, Noah, Alexis, Faylor (Dillon), Cole (Kaitlyn); six great-grandchildren; and sister, Marilyn (Dick) Wasserman. Funeral Service will be at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1636 St. Mary's Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN 46808 on Saturday, August 14th at 2 pm with visitation from 1-2pm. Memorials may be made to St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Trinity Lutheran Church, or Worship Anew. FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services is handling arrangements.
