Obituary
Nancy Mitchell, 78, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025. Born on March 22, 1947, she was the daughter of the late John and Mildred Burris.
Nancy was a dedicated worker who spent over forty years at Lambro's until its closing. She went on to work for the next 11 years at American Legion Post 296, where she truly enjoyed the company of her customers and friends.
She is survived by her two sons, Tim and Ed Mitchell; three grandchildren, Jenna Ross, Kip Mitchell, and Heather (Tom) Freistroffer; and five great-grandchildren. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, James (Tommy) Burris, and one great grandchild.
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 10, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at American Legion Post 296, 130 W Tillman Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46807. All are welcome to join.
