Nai Rot Chan was born on December 3, 1971, in Paung Township, Mon State, Myanmar. He lived a life defined by dedication, humility, and a deep commitment to both his family and his community. In 1990, he married Mi Than Cho Aye, and together they built a loving family. They were blessed with a son, Min Htaw Lawi, born in 1994. Nai Rot Chan took great pride in being a devoted husband and a caring father, always placing his family at the center of his life. He pursued higher education at Mawlamyine University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. With a passion for teaching, he began his career as a middle school teacher, specializing in geometry. Through his work, he inspired and guided many students, leaving a lasting impact on those he taught. In 2011, he moved to the United States in search of new opportunities. There, he worked in the automotive industry, demonstrating resilience, adaptability, and a strong work ethic. Nai Rot Chan was known as a hero and loving father, a kind and supportive uncle, a respected teacher, and a loyal friend. He was deeply committed to preserving his cultural heritage and actively supported Mon summer literature and cultural programs in his hometown of Paung Township. Each year, he contributed to promoting the Mon language and traditions, reflecting his enduring pride in his identity. Outside of his professional life, he found joy in reading, meditation, and sports such as soccer, table tennis, and chin lone. He also cherished moments of peace while listening to music. Nai Rot Chan passed away on March 18, 2026. He will be remembered for his kindness, his dedication to education, his love for his family, and his unwavering commitment to his culture and community. He is survived by his beloved son, Min Htaw Lawi, and daughter-in-law, Thet Thet Lin.
