N. Jean Schendel Findley
, 69, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on May 11, 2025.
She graduated from DeKalb High School, earned her Associate of Science in Nursing from IPFW, graduated Magna Cum Laude from Valparaiso University School of Law, and practiced medical malpractice defense for 25 years.
She is survived by her husband, Michael D Findley; her daughters, Sarah (Creek) Stewart and Katie (Bwana) Clements; and her stepchildren, Christy Spencer and Todd (Melanee) Findley. Grandchildren include Bwana Clements Jr., Kai Clements, Kazi Clements, River Stewart, Lakelyn Stewart, Colin Spencer, Sean Findley, Stuart Findley, and Austin Findley. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Primrose Stewart. She is also survived by her sister, Joyce Boswell, and her brother, Chuck Vanderpool.
A celebration of life will be held at Fairhaven Funeral Home (6557 N. Clinton Street) on June 5, 2025, with open visitation from 4-7pm. There will be a pause for sharing memories at 5:15pm during the visitation. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The American Red Cross.
