Myrna Rosa Gonzalez Gonzalez, age 74, of Cidra, Puerto Rico, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2026.

Myrna was born on July 2, 1951, in Cidra, Puerto Rico, to Virginia Gonzalez and Santiago Gonzalez. She was the youngest of 12 children. After graduating from Gautier Benitez High School in 1969, Myrna attended the University of Puerto Rico, Medical Science Campus, School of Radiological Technology.

After earning a degree in Radiology Technology in 1972, she began her professional career at Hospital Metropolitano. She later advanced to the role of Assistant Radiologist in 1977, working there from June 1972 until March 1985.

On November 28, 1970, Myrna married Jose in Cidra, Puerto Rico. Together, Myrna and Jose had their only child, Arnym Yiradigza Pedraza Gonzalez.

In 1985, Myrna retired early; however, she was unable to stay at home for long, ☺. This led her to pursue a new education, acquire new skills, and become an esthetician and hairstylist in 1986. She served as a salon manager and esthetician, treating her clients with compassion and offering guidance and wisdom to many.

In her free time, Myrna enjoyed singing, playing dominoes, and dancing.

Myrna was preceded in death by her father, Santiago; her mother, Virginia; her sisters, Asuncion, Juana, Irma, Rosa, and Luz V.; and her brothers, Esteban, Roberto, and Jose L.

She is survived by her husband, Jose M. Pedraza; her daughter, Arnym Y. Pedraza Gonzalez; and her siblings: Maria L. Gonzalez, Samuel Gonzalez, and Edwin Gonzalez. Her beloved nieces and nephews—whom she loved dearly—remain close to her heart.

A small service will be held after cremation, with the date to be decided, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. A memorial and celebration of her life will occur in Puerto Rico, with the date and time still to be determined.
