Michiel Allen "Mike" Taritas, 68, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Monday, November 14, 2022. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Mike was a son of the late George Jr. and Patricia Taritas. Mike attended Central High School and graduated from Snider High School. During Mike's working years, he was a salesman throughout and spent 20 years with Sauder Manufacturing. Mike was a Bible Scholar, loved to learn and teach about Christ and was an active member of Grace Summit Church. Mike had a deep and commanding voice with a passion for singing in the church choir and quartets over the years. Mike earned and was proud of the honor of being an Eagle Scout. Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Roberta Taritas; children, Angela Taritas, Rick Covington; grandchildren, Gavin, Ainsley, and Carys; siblings, Russ (Lois) Taritas, and Curt Taritas. Mike was preceded in death by his first wife, Dena; children: Christopher and Jessica Taritas; and his sister Karen Taritas. A Celebration of Mike's Life will be 2 pm, Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Grace Summit Church, 5903 E Dupont Rd, with calling from noon until the service. Memorials may be made to Grace Summit Church or Turnstone Center. FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services is handling arrangements.
