Michael Douglas "Mike" Vonderau, 59, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Mike a son of the late Ronald K. Vonderau and Janice Deck who survives. Mike graduated from Concordia High School class of 1979. He started Fort Wayne Transmission Centers in 1989 and absolutely loved helping all his customers. Mike had a passion for cars. He enjoyed racing, spending time with his friends, but nothing was more important than his family. He loved his family and cherished his grandchildren. Mike took the time to travel to his mother's home in Florida often. Anyone who knew Mike knows that he would do anything for anyone and was a one-of-a-kind friend. Surviving is his companion of 15 years, Michele Storch; children, Kodi (Rejanne) Vonderau, Madelyn (Spencer) Bagan, Jacqueline (Joshua) Alter, Alexander Vonderau; step-son, Jonathan (Mandy) Storch; grandchildren, Brayden, Jaxx, Wyatt, Briella, Nolan, Maze, Emmanuel, Nash, Boyd; brothers, Gregory Vonderau, Thomas (Kerry) Vonderau, Todd Vonderau, Cory (Liya) Vonderau; step-brother, Kevin Deck; and step-sister, Karen Deck. Service is 10 am, Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Pine Hills Church, 4704 Carroll Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling also at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street, Friday, September 24, 2021 from 1 pm to 3 pm and 5 pm to 8 pm. Burial will be in St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
