Obituary

Michael Leroy Snider, 66, of Fort Wayne, IN died on Monday, July 21, 2025 at home. Mike was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on November 24, 1958 a son of the late Edwin and Dixie Snider. Mike graduated from Norwell High School and was a member of St. Michael Lutheran Church. He spent 27 years in his early working life as a tool and die maker with K-K Tool & Design in Markle, IN. In 2009, Mike joined BAE Systems as an Operations Associate and worked for them until his death. He earned his pilot's license and enjoyed flying his Cessna 182 out to breakfast with his father and other pilots from Huntington, IN. Mike enjoyed NASCAR, listening to music, genealogy, and traveling the world. He is survived by his wife Dianne Snider, sons Austin, Ryan (Jadyn), and Logan Snider, sister Lynette Mankey, niece Aarika (Noah) Miller, and nephew Peyton Mankey, all of Fort Wayne, IN. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Edwin and Dixie Snider, sister Laurie Ann Snider, brother Murray Snider, grandparents Earl Elzey, Lucille Myers, George and Geraldine Snider. Service will be 10:30 am, Saturday, July 26, 2025 at St. Michael Lutheran Church, 2131 Getz Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling will be at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N Clinton Street, on Friday, July 25, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Entombment will follow at Concordia Cemetery Gardens on Lake Avenue. Memorials may be given to St. Michael Lutheran Church or Stillwater Hospice.
