Michael W. McDaniel, 61, born in Burbank, California, and a proud graduate of Northrop High School's Class of 1982, was a one-of-a-kind creative force. The visionary behind "Havin' a Beer with Mike," the Down-Home Shopping Network, the 1980s television gem "The Singles Game," and countless other entrepreneurial adventures. Mike leaves behind a vibrant legacy of joy, imagination, and unforgettable moments. A man with a boundless sense of humor and a heart as big as his ideas, Mike brought people together through laughter, ingenuity, and genuine warmth. He was deeply devoted to his country, proud of its freedoms and the opportunities it gave him to dream big and live boldly. That patriotic pride was ever-present in his conversations, his projects, and the way he carried himself—humble, grateful, and always with a touch of wit. Mike is survived by his father, Lowell Russell McDaniel; his brothers Ron (Jennifer), Dave (Pam), and Steve (Rachel) McDaniel. Nephews; Marcus (Marin) and Mitchell (Tess) McDaniel and 5 great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Ruth.
