Michael "Mike" J. Pressler, 71, of Fort Wayne, IN passed into Heaven on October 13, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born January 18, 1952, he was a graduate of North Side High School in 1970. Mike worked for 40 years as a State Equipment Installer for GTE/Verizon. He was very involved in all things soccer including refereeing, referee instructing and coaching of girls and boys. He enjoyed running, biking, camping, cross country skiing, volleyball, basketball, golfing and frisbee. Mike was an avid reader. Mike served at First Assembly of God as a Deacon and District Elder, as a member of the Community Care Team and various other church ministries. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mike is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Amy Pressler; children, Molly (Matthew) Beer, Mindy (John) Tuckey, and Nathaniel (Melissa) Pressler; grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Tom) Agler, Alex (Emma) Beer, Nick (Kara) Beer, Morgan, Jack (Makenna), Benjamin, Maggie and CeCe Tuckey, and Kalynne Pressler; great-grandchildren, Jonas, Mae, Wrenley, and Elise Agler, Edmund and Lina Beer, and Amari Williams. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Nan Pressler and sister, Sara Ransom.
Funeral service will be on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 11:00 am at Eden Church (2100 Kentucky Ave, Fort Wayne, Indiana, 46805) with visitation beginning at 9:00 am until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Care Ministry of First Assembly of God Fort Wayne.
