MICHAEL E. DIXON, SR., 69, died Friday, May 5, 2017 at the Kingston Care Center. Born on January 17, 1948 in Fort Wayne to the late Hubert T. and Mildred Y. (Ash) Dixon, Michael was a U. S. Air Force Vietnam veteran who then retired from the Indiana Air National Guard after 21 years of service.

He also retired from the Dana Corporation after 30 years and he was a member of the Harmony Lodge of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows where he served as a Past Grand.

Surviving are his children, Michael (Teri) Dixon, Jr. of Fort Wayne; and Michelle (John) Moss of Fort Wayne; sister, Elaine (Ron) Dixon Lengacher of Leo; brother, David (Judy) Dixon of North Carolina; grandchildren, Caitlin; Carter; Alex; and Ella.

Funeral Service is 11 A.M. Thursday, May 11, 2017 at FairHaven Funeral Home 6557 North Clinton Street with Rev. Russ Abel officiating. Calling will be from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. Wednesday with an Odd Fellow service at 7:45 P.M. Calling also from 10 A.M. until time of service Thursday.

Burial will be in Leo Cemetery with military graveside honors.
