Michael A. Ciolkos, 72, of Angola, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 18, 2026.
Born in Angola, Indiana, on April 8, 1953, to the late Walter and Beatrice Ciolkos, Michael was a proud graduate of Angola High School. It was there, and at the beloved Bledsoe’s Beach on nearby Lake James, that he first met his high school sweetheart, Tina. Their chance encounter at the beach sparked a lifelong romance, leading to 51 wonderful years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion.
Michael enjoyed a successful career as an IT Project Leader for SIRVA, where he brought dedication and skill to his work until his retirement.
A passionate sports enthusiast, Michael was a devoted Snider Panthers fan and an enthusiastic supporter of his Denver Broncos. He found great joy in music—especially the timeless songs of The Beatles—and cherished time spent on the lake with family and friends, creating memories that will last forever. Above all, he treasured his family. His greatest pride and happiness came from his wife, children, and grandchildren, whom he loved deeply and unconditionally.
Michael also gave generously of his time as a youth soccer coach, proudly guiding his own children and many others on the field for many years.
He is survived by his loving sons, Ryan (Michelle) Ciolkos and David (Franzi) Ciolkos; his cherished grandchildren, Leah, Alina, Bexley, and Asher; and a wide circle of family and friends who will miss his warmth, humor, and steadfast presence.
Michael was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Tina Ciolkos; his son, Joshua Ciolkos; and his sister, Barbara Hofer.
A celebration of Michael’s life will be held at a later date, to be announced. In honor of Michael and his cherished wife Tina, memorial donations are kindly suggested to the Community Humane Shelter of Steuben County, a cause close to their hearts.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the love he gave so freely.
