Michael James Anderson, age 80, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2024 in Fort Wayne. He was born in Fort Wayne to the late Clarence and Mary Anderson. Michael worked 33 years for the City of Fort Wayne as a meter reader. He was a gifted finger-picking guitar player and appreciated the music of Chet Atkins; most important was his devotion to his Christian faith. Michael is survived by his wife of 59 years, Sharon Anderson; children, Chris Bryan, Susan (Matt) Mullins, Jeff (Jamie) Anderson, and Bryan (Tracey) Anderson; 10 grandchildren, Ashley, Jennifer, Katie, Justin, Danielle, Alec, Brittany, Nick, Andrew, and Zack; and two great-granddaughters, Brooklynn and Hannah. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Tom Anderson and Joe Anderson. Service is 1:00 pm, Friday, August 9, 2024 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St. with calling two hours prior beginning at 11:00 am. Burial at Highland Park Cemetery.
