Maxine Combs, age 89, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 3rd, 2019 at her home in Fort Wayne. She was born in West Virginia to the late Elmer and Ida McGinnis. Maxine was a member of Memorial Baptist Church. She is survived by children, Charles (Becky Pope) Combs and Kathy Combs both of Fort Wayne; 5 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Dorothy Moos of Indianapolis, IN, Cora Short of New Haven, IN, Dick (Deanna) McGinnis of Eccles, WV, Patricia Cipollari of Rensselaer, NY, and Bob McGinnis of Union, WV. Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Dean Combs; and 6 siblings. Private family services will be held in West Virginia. Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice.
